Assisting Ministers


Participate in the worship service. Wear assisting robe, cincture, and medallion for worship appropriate to the day. Lead the following parts of the liturgy during a worship service: sing or speak the opening liturgy; read prayers of the community; pick up communion elements as an offering; read thanksgiving prayer following offering; read thanksgiving prayer following communion; and dismiss the congregation at the end of the service.

Someone who likes to praise and connect with God in a personal way. A person who shares their faith with others through worship. Opportunity for high school youth or adults to proclaim the Word of God and lead worship.

Training provided by pastoral staff with assistance by the organist. A review of the service before each worship is provided by pastoral staff. Prayers and bulletins are available from the office staff prior to the service. Please note: Volunteers are responsible for finding replacements if unable to attend on the scheduled date to ensure continuity and coverage. Notify office staff of any changes.
